| For the third straight year, Michael Finley, the Dallas Mavericks and several of his teammates have teamed up with the North Texas Food Bank and with Buckets for Hunger to raise money for the needy people of North Texas. |
| Michael, Antawn Jamison and Antoine Walker each committed to match every dollar donated by the Mavericks' fans up to a total of $10000 per man. The effort brought in a record $109,000 for the North Texas Food Bank through Buckets for Hunger, Incorporated. |
| Dawn Holgate, of the Dallas Mavericks, and Jan Pruitt of the North Texas Food Bank, were instrumental in working with Buckets and Michael to accomplish this wonderful act of generosity. |
